Best West Coast Spring Break Part One

Good people of the blogsphere, I am here to bring you my long-awaited photos from my spring break trip. Excitement! As I mentioned previously, the sights from this trip were break-taking and at times the photos don’t even come close to capturing the beauty of it all. Nevertheless, I tried.

I came to the realization that from this experience, I gained a heightened appreciation for being detached from all the technology and the mundane routine of life and simply exploring and immersing oneself in the natural wonders. California is a beautiful place and I’m glad I got this chance to traverse the North Coast for a week. Enjoy the photos and if you’ve ever been to the places I mentioned, I’d love to hear about your own experiences.

Hello again internet! I’ve been away on a week-long outdoor adventure seeing the beautiful Northern coastlines of California. It was wonderful and I have plenty of pictures to share once I upload them all. I’m glad I took advantage of this opportunity because every moment was simply priceless. Anyhow, I’m hoping that you all are enjoying your spring breaks/weekends!

This playlist is for those who want to venture into folk and then some. I made it a while back but it still provides a good listening experience :)

Hi all! Yes, it’s been far too long since my last entry but I’m currently working hard on a new design for this blog. So keep your eyes peeled for something superfantasticly awesome (hopefully) in the next few weeks.

Usually, I don’t really write about my personal life on Found & Kept and I think that’s just fine for me since I have other mediums for expressing my emotions on either a good or bad day. One of these mediums is the well-known diary or journal (as I like to call it; the term “diary” is too reminiscent of 5th grade girls and their first-time heartaches). I’m very happy to say that I just recently finished one of my journals: all 200 pages of teenage angst. I started this journal when I was in middle school and by the last page, I was talking about issues of college life! It’s interesting to see how I perceived situations at a certain age and later on to read how I would handle something similar many years later.

I love writing in my journal because it allows me to not only vent my frustrations but also remember fond memories shared with family and friends. I know that pictures are an easy way to account for that, but I think that writing about an event just forces me to remember certain things with greater detail. I also get a better perspective on my emotions during that instance. To me that’s nostalgia at its finest.

Vanessa here… with a few songs to accompany your daydreams. Take a few moments to drift away from reality and imagine the most wondrous things.

I captured the background image in Pismo Beach after seeing the Monarch Butterfly Grove. There were thousands of butterflies tucked among the leaves and branches of the trees. The natural beauty of these butterflies can only be appreciated with closer inspection. Otherwise, you might not even spot them! It was only through a telescope that we were able to fully appreciate the lovely warm colors of the butterfly wings. It’s quite a sight!

Surely, I will have more adventures to report for next time! Stay warm & have a good day :D
